A little bit about this website - and the forums, free gallery space and blogs for koi-keepers, breeders and dealers:

koifreaks.com now has it's very own dedicated, free membership Forums, Gallery and Blog Spot for koi-keepers, koi hobbyists and enthusiasts, koi breeders, nishikigoi freaks (and other koi nuts!) - and lovers of all types and grades of nishiki-goi, ponds and Japanese water gardens.

Members are now able to upload pictures of their nishiki-goi, koi carp and koi ponds. Garden pond-lovers in general are also very welcome - as are, of course, Japanese garden enthusiasts and experts. It is hoped that the forums will provide a venue for koi hobbyists and dealers to exchange news and views - and for everyone to exchange experiences and helpful tips on pond building and taking care of their precious living jewels. The site-owner is not an expert on koi diseases but, hopefully, many of the members will be well versed in the treatment of various ailments that koi carp can and do suffer from. More than this, though, it is hoped that a good database of expert knowledge can be assembled, whereby members will be enabled with the necessary knowledge to keep their koi as healthy and disease free as possible.

There is a forum for members to post their koi, koi-related and other personal ads. A special piece of software, which will allow members to place their classified ads will be coming soon but, for the mean-time; this is the forum for members who wish to buy or sell their koi and koi-related products.

There are also special forums for complete beginners, intermediate and established hobbyists and also for koi dealers and breeders of nishiki-goi.

Successful koi-keeping is all about achieving first-class water conditions - and these forums contain a lot of useful information for beginners in the hobby. You can also find information on the different varieties and breeds of koi, together with discussions on the best places to buy high quality nishikigoi at reasonable prices. Koi dealers and breeders are also very welcome to participate in the forums and use them as a free advertising platform for their koi and aquatic goods and products. All will be discussed and argued over here!

KoiFreaks.com is a web site that is dedicated to the finest nishiki-goi and the highest standards in pond fish-keeping. The site contains a set of forums where members can offer their Japanese, Israeli and home-bread koi carp - and their surplus pond equipment for sale. Members can exchange information and offer help and advice on the various aspects of koi-keeping; discuss pond medications and treatments for sick koi. In short, members have a forum where they can share information and exchange the knowledge that allows them to raise prize-winning koi to the highest standards possible - and to keep them in the peak of health!

The integrated Forums - Gallery contains loads of koi variety pictures for complete beginners to look at and all members of the site can interact in the koi chat room. Japanese koi art and sculpture is also well represented in the gallery, with koi carp paintings photos and artwork for lovers of nishiki-goi art and koi pictures.

The site-owner is planning to kick-off koifreaks.com in the very near future, with a trip to Japan - and, hopefully, plenty of beautiful koi photos and one or two interesting stories to tell! After that, it will be up to the members to make whatever they want to, out of the site!

Happy koi-keeping, wherever you are!
