Kawari-mono is a catch-all category for varieties of koi that do not fit into any of the other established breeds. These are mainly koi of various cross-breeds between the established varieties - although, if they have "gin-rin" (or glittering pearl-like scales,) they are generally classified under the Gin-rin, rather than Kawari-mono

Kohaku are the classic red and white koi

The Showa Sanshoku is a variety of koi with a red and white pattern overlaying a basically black undertone to its skin. This album is for members and guests to upload photos and video clips of Showa Sanshoku. High grade nishiki-goi photos and those of the more common koi carp are all very welcome here!
